Amendments to the Decree on Conditions for Electricity Supply and Delivery were adopted, introducing new deadlines and clarifying the rules related to the preparation of grid connection studies for energy facilities.
The most significant change concerns projects involving variable renewable energy sources, such as wind farms and solar power plants. For investors who did not submit a request for the preparation of a connection study prior to the effective date of the amended Decree, the next available window for submitting such requests will open only as of July 1, 2026.
These amendments provide a clearer framework for planning the connection of new generation capacities to the transmission system, aiming to preserve the stability of the power grid, optimize the use of transmission capacities, and ensure balanced integration of renewable sources.
The amended text of the Decree is already available through the Official Legal Information System of the Republic of Serbia, enabling all interested parties to review the relevant provisions and deadlines in detail.
